At Brittanic Building Services Ltd we recognise that health and safety is not just about complying with legislation, it’s about protecting our workforce along with the community in which we operate.
It is our responsibility to provide all staff and operatives with the relevant training, in which provides their competency to complete their items of works preventing any accidents or incidents.
Putting Health & safety as a priority enables Brittanic Building Services Ltd to operate more effectively and efficiently which in turn aids with building our reputation and repeat business.
We are also currently in the process of registering for Safe Contractors and CHAS registrations which will aid in auditing the systems in place.

HEALTH AND SAFETY STATEMENT OF INTENT

1. Our strong objectives are to make obligatory instruments to control and scrutinise our health & safety procedures as a key part of operating of Brittanic Building Services Ltd.
2. Therefore, so as far as is reasonably viable, Brittanic Building Services Ltd:

• Ensures that equipment and working practices are safe and offer no hazard and risk to health and safety

• Ensures that all necessary precautions are taken in respect of the safe use of, handling, storage and transportation materials and substances

• Provides such information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure the health and safety at work of all employees

• Maintains all places of work, work equipment and transport under its control in a safe condition, free from risk to health and safety

• Provides adequate facilities for the welfare of employees

• Safeguards the health and safety of visitors, contractors and of any members of the general public who could be affected by its activities

• Provides all necessary information relating to health and safety in respect of procedures and services and, where necessary, all employed by the organisation

• Reviews and updates the policy as and when necessary particularly in respect of major changes within Brittanic Building Services Ltd and/or changes in legislation and brings these changes to the attention of all employed by the organisation

• Ensures that all employed by the organisation are mindful of their health and safety responsibilities and co-operate with Brittanic Building Services Ltd in its efforts to fulfil the above policy

• Ensures the policy is monitored at the workplace.
